Your information

Privacy & enquiries.

CHANNELTHE is an independent music label and publishing house. Here is how we handle contact enquiries, filmmaker open-call applications and the optional CHANNELTHE VIP membership programme.

Updated October 2026

Information you share

If you contact CHANNELTHE, we collect the name, email address, enquiry category and message you provide. If you choose to become a VIP member, we use your verified account email and may also store your optional display name, marketing preferences and optional mobile number when you explicitly request SMS updates. Please do not submit confidential recordings or sensitive details through the contact form.

Why we use it

We use enquiries to review and respond to messages and maintain correspondence records. VIP membership information is used to provide member access and remember your communication preferences. Marketing emails and SMS are optional and require separate opt-in choices. Submitting an enquiry or joining VIP does not create an artist, publishing or representation agreement.

Storage and access

Website enquiries and VIP memberships are stored using our Base44 application infrastructure. Enquiries are restricted to authorised administrators; VIP membership records are accessible to the corresponding signed-in member and authorised administrators. Service providers supporting the website may process technical information required to deliver and secure the service.

Your choices and retention

We keep records for administration and applicable obligations. VIP marketing choices are optional and can be withdrawn by contacting us; promotional messages must include an applicable unsubscribe method if sending is enabled. You may ask to access, correct or delete your information subject to our applicable record-keeping obligations. Automated messaging is not active yet.

Private founder invitations

Invitations are available only to a signed-in account whose email has been assigned access, or to authorised CHANNELTHE administrators. Recipients may optionally opt into chapter views, section interactions, approximate active-reading time and print-event tracking. With tracking disabled, those reading metrics are not collected, and switching tracking off removes previously collected reading metrics. Responses and voluntarily submitted questions are recorded when sent, irrespective of optional reading analytics. These records are for founder discussion and do not constitute signed agreements.

Industry perspectives

Industry contact research and outreach notes are managed privately by authorised administrators. Public quotations appear only after the contributor has given express approval for the wording and attribution; quotes do not imply a formal advisory or investment relationship.

Filmmaker open-call applications

When you apply to the Reel Room open call, we collect the name you want credited, your email address, your city or country, the link to one reel or finished piece, your stated visual style and availability, your optional message, your acknowledgement that no upfront fee is currently budgeted, and your separate optional choice about occasional CHANNELTHE updates. Applications are stored in our Base44 application infrastructure and are readable and editable only by authorised CHANNELTHE administrators. They are never displayed on public pages, and no public creator profile is created from an application. We use this information solely to review the application, to contact you about written project terms if we can take it forward, and to keep an internal record of the decision. Marketing updates are never sent unless you tick that separate box, and a decision is not required for submission. You may ask us to access, correct or delete your application. Being shortlisted or accepted does not by itself grant music access, a licence, a paid engagement or a release commitment; those require separate written terms.
